The three-city conference tour is coming up. The fourth year of our "Conference for Better English" in České Budějovice and the second...
MSI, a spin-off project of Konference pro lepší angličtinu, is an informal discussion and educational platform for English teachers. Its aim is for us, teachers, to exchange experience on a variety of topics, to network, to inspire each other and generally to develop our pedagogical and linguistic skills. The MSI events, which are divided into three areas of interest, are targeted at English teachers working in primary and secondary schools in the Czech Republic. Depending on the content of the programme and the participants, the language of the meetings is either Czech or English.

Long-term statistics show that writing is the most challenging of all the components of Cambridge English exams at B2 level and above. It's also the most challenging part for teachers in terms of preparing students - practice makes perfect, but who wants to spend dozens of hours correcting all the assignments and giving feedback? For this reason, in this LTF session we will discuss the possibility of incorporating self-assessment techniques for B2 and C1 levels into writing preparation, as well as their benefits and limitations. We will also look at the potential of using AI.
This session of Let's Talk Fridays is aimed at teachers who are preparing their students for levels B2 and C1 in either primary or secondary schools.
The event will be hosted by David Schaffelhofer.
As capacity is limited, priority will be given to ELEC partner schools.
